ICYMI: Professional Photographer Demonstrates Permanent Visual Impacts of CMP's Proposed Corridor During Today's NCC Zoom Meeting
FARMINGTON: The No CMP Corridor PAC today hosted Roger Merchant, a professional photographer and retired forester, on a public Zoom meeting to demonstrate the lasting visual impacts of CMP's proposed transmission corridor, as well as the permanent forest fragmentation that would occur in Segment 1 (the first 53.5 miles) of the proposed corridor route. His slide show clearly demonstrates that CMP is lying in their advertising, which portrays this beautiful, remote section as a wasteland. Rather, this iconic area provides a unique, globally significant habitat that would be forever destroyed, all to benefit the bottom line of two foreign corporations.
Also featured on the Zoom call was Tom Saviello of Wilton. As the lead petitioner, Saviello discussed the upcoming referendum, and how the No CMP Corridor's army of grassroots activists can get involved.
