ICYMI: CMP Motives Broken Down on Political Brew
FARMINGTON- On this week’s Political Brew, CMP’s latest lawsuit was the topic of conversation. John Richardson, a Democratic political analyst on the show, hit the nail on the head when he broke down CMP's motive to file yet another lawsuit against our effort. He said, "I think they know if this goes to the polls, they're going to lose, so they're checking every legal challenge they can make."
“And that's really what it boils down to,” said Sandi Howard of No CMP Corridor. “CMP has shown that their foreign stakeholders will spare no expense to silence Maine voters because they know that in the court of public opinion, they will lose every time.”
She continued, “Their record-breaking ad buys haven't moved the dial because Mainers are sick of their power utility company walking all over them. They are tired of this monopoly not being unaccountable to the people of Maine, providing spotty service and bullying customers, and most importantly, they know that this corridor is a bad deal for Maine.”
